1. Why does our team need a pep talk every game? They seem to be waiting
for Singletary to give them a motivational speech at half-time. In most cases, it's too late...even if it's supposed to work.
2. Why don't we go with 3 or more WRs on more series? Do we have to fall behind 21 points before Raye wakes up?
3. One a positive side, who would have thought at the beginning of the season that VD would be a star?
who would have thought that Crabtree would start his first NFL game with
so much poise?
4. What's up with Gore nowadays?
5. Second week in a row our defense is below avg and the main reason we
lost both games.
6. We fall to 3-3 in NFC West, most likely so will AZ tonight. Next week, good chance we will lose (vs Colts!), and AZ wins against Carolina. That means we fall behind in the NFC West and go under .500

Still early. We then play a couple home games and could get on the winning track again.

your thinking too much
When did you want to see more gore ? durring the 3 n outs or after we were down 21 and needed to pass the ball.
It wasnt a pep talk coach did at the half. it was a benching. and everyone woke up after that.
The D didnt give Houston the ball on the 10.

the only issues is our Oline. Pashos looked horrid and got beat more than a few times, if i were Singletary i would punch Rachal in the head to wake his lazy ass up.
Hopefully Smith is the truth with this performance going foward. Passing the ball it will open it up for Gore, just like it did 2nd half. Smith just has to come out with that fire every game. Its all up to the oline for here on..

I have never been so excited after a loss. I just hope Smith is finally going to look like someone worthy of his high draft status. The only negative I could think of was maybe Smith looked so good because the Texans prepared for a pie thrower who can't throw more than 15 yards and had it ingrained in them that they could get away with crowding the line of scrimmage all day. Another worry, while the offense looks like it has promise with Crabtree and Smith (no I didn't forget about Davis and Morgan) the defense looks like it is headed the wrong direction.

But the defense held them to 3 in the 2nd half and it was special teams/Battle that gave the Texans a 1st at the 10. You are asking too much of the D I think. With the offense moving the chains the defense was able to hold their own.

LMFAO at our defense being "below average."
They gave up 3 points in the second half. And of the 21 in the first half, 7 are 100% on Battle. That dumbass. Good thing you cut Rossum, Sing you f**king clown.
The decisions this team makes make me want to headbutt a sidewalk.
Couple other things; Crabs is the real deal, Shaun Hill SHOULD be done in the NFL, and Chilo Rachal is worse than Kwame Harris.

there's nothing wrong with gore, it's just that our offense is so predictable. its hard to run against a defense that knows what's coming

The D in the first half gave up 14 despite having the offense produce less than 60 yards of total offense. The other 7 is on Battle. There may have been sun in his eyes, but if thats the case move out of the way!
The second half they gave up 3. If Smith starts this game I think we win handily.

- Info N/A
1. Nothing is wrong with Gore. The O-line rarely gets a push.
2. The D lost the game before the bye, not today's game.
3. Smith was gonna get his chance sooner or later. It's not a surprise that he did well since there has always been an explanation for when he hasn't played well but haters will continue to hate.

Thoughts?
1. Our offense puts the team way behind early on. That's the only reason Singletary has to give the boy scout rallies.
2. Because Hill is a game manager and we are playing to his incredible management skills. 3 runs with an occasional 2 run 1 pass to confuse the defense. It's worked so far right?
3. VD's been around for a long time, since men and women have been copulating, and only now do you realize VD is a star? As for Crabs, the same applies.
4. Gore = Barlow. Any questions?
5. A game managing QB creates Defensive stress.
6. As long as Carolina loses, I'm all good. We need the highest picks we can get. Oh, we'll still beat AZ.

There's something wrong with our defense.

It's called no pass rush. They simply can't beat there guys one on one and get a sack when one is needed. All the Niners sacks are basically coverage sacks.
Smith looked great and I can't believe this but Sims did a great job also. Simple fact is this o line is horrible all around. They can't run block for anything. VD looking great. I just don't understand why they don't exploit this match up every single game til the wheels fall off and the defense forcing you to do something else.
Special teams was horrible. Does anybody remember how bad this team looked last year on punt returns when Rossum was hurt? It was worse today. Cutting Rossum was a joke move, and cost this team big time today.

We gave up 400+ yds avg in the last two games. Yes, they played well in the 2nd half, but that could be 'cause our offense was on the field much longer.
We don't have the defense that showed up in the first 4 games. They need to step it up if we are continue winning games.
We have playmakers on defense, but for whatever reasons, they seem to sleep thru a quarter and wake up. Consistency is key I believe.
