earlier this morning derrick brooks picked the niners
Just gives the 49ers another reason to go out & prove them wrong.
A very good offense faces a defense that just gave up 45 points.
A suspect offense that faces an avg defense.
I think it's easy to pick.
Luckily, the game still has to be played.
Damn next 5 games are hard.

Houston, Indy, Ten, Chicago, and GB. We could potentially lose all five of those games. The calls for Holmgren and Shanahan will become a lot louder.
I think the Texans will win but of course not guaranteed.

It depends on HOW they play. If the Niners play these guys like they played the Vikings or how they normally play the Cards, then great.

If they come out unprepared, half-a$$, and making a ton of mistakes - that's a totally different level of rage I'll feel about my team.

Win but if you HAVE to lose - make em earn EVERY SINGLE yard.
Hell.. I would take the Texans and lay the points. Better team right now and playing at home
inept OLine + offense + imperfect D = Houston Win

I also picked the Texans in my pick'em. I hope Im wrong though.

Jeremy Green (Dennis Green's son) on ESPN's "Football Today" podcast chose the Niners as his upset of the week over the Texans.

makes sense

how so?

Easy, They have an offense and we don't. How long can we expect our D and ST to win games for us. It's not realistic. I hope that our D and ST pull through and our O can muster up some points. I doubt it though. It is actually painful watching our O play. I hope Sing fixes it quick. I miss the days when our O was dominant. We have been so poor on O for so long that it tough to remember what a good O looks like!!! LOL!
