For a team that's been on the other end of tampering (eg. Briggs), it's only fair to have the tides turn and receive compensation for this situation. Like MM said, if the Niners know what it takes to be charged of tampering, then they should rightfully pursue these allegations.
Let's not forget, the Niners know that if at the end of all this, the Jets are found NOT GUILTY, then the Niners organization will be disciplined. So no, we should not let this go.

Should we let the tampering of Crabtree go, as suggested?

Really? because this isn't the first time the Jets have been accused of tampering. I belive they got accused of tampering with a receiver from Denver. Neither team was punished

how would the niners get punished? the league decided that there was sufficient evidence to move forward. did jed punk the league office into continuing the investigation? the worst thing that can happen is that the jets get found not guilty thats it.

I saw it on NFLN. Sorry I don't have a link, but the only reason why I remembered it was because I was really surprised to hear it. Rewinded it to hear it a 2nd time.

No, the Niners should not let it go. As I understand it, we could end up with another 1st round pick from the Jets as a penalty for the tampering. That in and of itself is a good enough reason to press the matter.

And how are we going to get the Jets 1rst round pick when they gave it to the Browns

Of course we should let the process continue. If the Jets did it, then they need their punishment. And if we get anything out of it, then that's just the cherry on top.

If they did it, they cost the Niners a training camp, pre-season and five games of Crabtree. They also threatened the integrity of the NFL draft. They need to pay for this if charges are proved. If it is the case, the Jets GM needs to be fired.

Here is the million dollar question:
Do the Yorks and niner officials need something from the league to build our stadium like loans or we might be promised to host several SB in the new site.
The only way I see us dropping this is if we have some back room deal where the league floats a favor of sorts out of the public eye

The Browns do not have the Jets first round pick.
