It is true that Rice was the most prolific receiver ever, but Hutson's accomplishments make him a worthy competitor to Rice for the "All-time greatest WR" title in the same way a Sammy Baugh or Otto Graham can be proposed as the greatest all-time QB.
Their stats stand up in any era, but they were accomplished under different rules and at a time when more run-oriented systems/philosophies were employed.
Read up on Hutson and you will be impressed. The guy was an amazing talent. You may even change your tune.

Agreed. There are grounds for the argument, I just don't agree with the logic. Given what Hutson did in that era is amazing - but again, I think Jerry can play in any era and Hutson would struggle in this era given the speed and athleticism of today's athlete.
