Didn't have time to rewatch the Seahawks game but I didn't hear Carlson's name mention much so somebody must be doing a good job covering him.

The 49ers defense isn't a position specific scheme. Lawson, Spikes, Haralson, Willis, Goldson and Lewis all covered him at different points.

Lawson willis had a lot to do with it. Not too much mam on man but definitely keept an eye on him during the zone coverage we played. Our whole defense is doing a great job

Yes, I didn't even start him because I had the Niner D on my team. It was total team effort keeping Carlson on lockdown, from Manusky all the way to Manny.

haha yeah i have niner D too but i'm in a 16 team league so i don't have any other TE on my bench. first time and a long time i've considered niners d to start!

Actually, I don't remember Manny on coverage too much which would mean our safeties and secondary was covering him (which should be the case anyhow). Remember, Manny's role now is to rush the passer.

We have a badass nickel defense with Bly in at the slot. The entire team had something to do with "shutting down" Carlson.

I agree Vernon has only shown that he can curb his ego but he did, sadly, lead the team in receptions.
And Willis shut down Carlson when he fractured Hasslebeck's rib

That's the reason IMO. Carlson and Hasslebeck have that QB-TE mojo going on. I don't think Wallace was looking to the TE all that often. He was looking for WRs.
What's Hasslebeck's status? Is he out for a while? That would be karmic justice for that DT wrecking Alex Smith's career.
