Really, then next year you will probably be complaining we couldn't sign Iupati because of bad cap management. SMH.
Personally I would try to keep him on for another year, but roster spots are tight.
Does anyone know of a longer tenured player than bjenn? BY or Jerry?
There is some talk of him not being as effective in punt coverage at his age...I am sure money is a motivator, but that could be a factor too.

Definitely Jerry. I think BY played 14 seasons and this will be Jennin gs 13th season.

yes but for if it ain't broke don't fix it.

we know what we are getting with the Jennings...this new kid though.... I'm scared as s**t.

when I first heard the news about us thinking of making this movie, the first thing that popped in my mind was this.

skip to 7:18 of the video.

I don't know if saving 900k is worth taking the chance on a kid.... I guess if struggles during the season, we could call Jennings back up...but what if another team signs him?

Pretty sure John Brodie is the longest tenured Niner. 17 seasons with the team.

Is he just being a "cheap ass" or is he trying to replace the two "faces of the franchise" for the last seven years (Vernon Davis & Patrick Willis) with the "faces of the franchise" for the next seven years (Colin Kaepernick & Aldon Smith)?!

Patrick Willis will be the face of this franchise until he retires. No one is replacing him as an icon on our D. Joining him, sure. Replace, no.

Ohhh!! lol. My apologies. Sometimes I forget how to read

That's actually a pretty good saying.
in one of the articles, they attributed dawsons missed fg kick to a bad snap by mcdermott
This is the last guy that played with Jerry Rice on the Niners. If we cut him it will truly be the END of an era.
