Offensive post-game analysis (Week 2 vs. Seahawks)

We won the game. Both Arizona and Seattle looked bad against us because we made them look bad. They are both good teams as showed by Arizona today. But they looked bad because they played the 49ers.

Oline did better and we got 200+ yards of runnng offense. Almost 200 yards of passing offense. We also put more points on the board than Seattle and thus we won.

We had 2 touchdowns negated by penalties - Rossum's punt return and a nice long pass by Hill. So we had some additional offense but got stopped by ourselves. So offense was moving and we slowed it down, not Seattle.

Would have been nice to see the Wildcat work a bit and see better distribution to the wide receivers, and more to VD. But I will take the win any day.

Looks like they are working out the kinks in the offense. We passed the Seattle test. Now we go for the Minnesota test. I think that they are beatable. If Hill does just enough to win next week I will take it and be very very happy.

Good job Niners!!

There was also the long pass from Hill that Bruce dropped which would've at least gave us another 3 points on the board.
For the love of all things good and holy... NO MORE TASER/WILDCAT PLEASE!!

Seriously. I went to facepalm as soon i saw the formation on 3rd and 22.

That Tazer crap needs to be taken out of the playbook.

Even the announcers were making fun of our Wildcat formation, and the situations we called it in. lol every body was making fun of Jimmy Raye.
when the 49ers want to run some good pass plays they do

to me, it seems like they are satisfied with dinking and dunking down the field mixed in with the run

I basically yelled, "not the f**king wildcat, it's a waste of a play." Plus Spurlock threw it away and I want to see the clock run down after every play.

spurlock had someone open for a pretty good gainer if he hadn't thrown a horrible pass

but please, god, i hate the wildcat. we do not have the personnel for it and never gain yardage!!
You can really tell the difference in our offense with Norris. If gore can run like this every week than I worried about losing any games. I'd like to see Davis get in the end zone though. This is our year!
I would rather give gore 30 carries than run that stupid wildcat.

not to mention that Norris had that big reception and yac to get the 1st when they were pinned back inside the 2 yd line. That play pretty much started the long drive to get the last 3 points to seal the game.
Thank God for Bruce. Hill and Bruce must have some nice chemistry going because Bruce seems to be the only WR that Hill trusts to throw to even when he's covered.
