How many bums are left on the team?

Of course opinion can drastically change as we play more games but with the preseason done and our 1st game how many bums do you feel are left on the team?

Every time I think of Alex Smith I think of losing.

I think we have two (2) bums currently on the team...Alex Smith and Barry Sims.
Alex Leaf, Sims, Roman
oh, and Crabgreed >>> all mentioned in previous post in terms of being worthless
I don't see Alex Smith as a bum on the team. I do see Simms as a bum though. Roman didn't do to bad against the Cards but that might be because he didn't start. He did get playing time though. No big plays given up by him so I can't complain
Baas has definitely played like a bum. Play like his is what can lose us games
I can see how fortyninerglory concludes that Sims is subpar. But how can he conclude that Alex is not worthy of remaining on this team, let alone conclude that he couldn't even become its starter?

In Sims' case, he has played a great deal the last two years, and we can see what he does. But last year, Smith played during the preseaason with a defective shoulder that needed another surgery. He obviously did not play all last year. This year, his total play in the preseason was less than the equivalent of a full game. How can one reach this conclusion with such certainty?

As we look around the league, there were a number of superb QBs who played ordinary games last week, making plenty of bad passes. Indeed, many played every bit as bad as Smith has played in the past.

Alex is older and wiser now than he was when he was injured two years ago. The WR talent on the team is probably better now. He never had a Bruce or Morgan to throw to. Given time to knock the rust off and a chance to acquire some sorely-needed confidence, I think he might even be good. But we likely will never get to see.

I think that was more of the type of OLine blocking schemes.

Smith - QB
Spurlock - WR/KR
Sims - OT/OG
Harris - OLB
Brooks - OLB
Hudson - CB/S
Roman - S

If you're going to call out Baas, why aren't you calling out Snyder?
everyone has "bums" on their team. the difference between this yr and the previous...5 or 6 yrs is that those "bums" are playing where they should be, depth and ST. Previously, we had starters that wouldn't even make the 53 man roster on any other team.

Patrick Willis and Frank Gore are the only two bums still left on this team
