Erickson, Nolan, and now Singletary have all...

dont bring up stuff like this. i still remember blowing out the rams in ericsons first game. it was all downhill from there...

Besides his HOF credentials, I think the thing Singletary has over both Erickson and Nolan is his ability to really communicate with his players. He knows from his experiences as a player how important it is to know your guys...their strengths, weaknesses, when to push them, when to let up. Case in point...3rd quarter, the tide was turning for 'Zona, Coach recognized it and called the timeout to give his guys a breather. They responded. Point about him not stepping on his OC and DC's toes is well taken...he trusts Manusky and Raye to get it right. He'll provide overall feedback on some areas he wants improved...like our OL play, which wasn't good. He also gives praise where it's due...such as Sunday's defensive performance. Very solid coaching performance...he's still learning, but he seems to be a quick study and that's a good thing, indeed.

Siefert and Marriuci both won their first game as well.

Anyway, what separates Singletary from Nolan and Erickson? Singletary commands respect. He was a great LB (HOF). When he talks, people listen. Nolan? He had the respect of the locker room at one point, but he lost it because he let players do whatever they wanted. Losing became acceptable. Erickson? He hasn't done a damn thing in the NFL. Singletary knows how to bring the best out of his players. He makes them feel like family.

Here's the difference. We didn't beat a crappy cardinals, rams or whatever team. We beat the NFC Champions AND we won time of possession.

TOP has been completely overlooked when we complain about 22 carries for Gore.

Technically Singletary first game as a head coach was a loss, It was a loss agaist the Seatle Seahawks on 10-26-08. Iterim is just a small title but the one title that matters is Head Coach ad thats what he has been since we lost against New York Giants.... Oh how I remember that day...

They have now all blown entire seasons before September was over.

We just need to offer Jimmy Johnson a pile of cash (no cap) to take this burden off Sings back and fire Fester and trade 4 Rapestburger and give hima chance here. Without this our season will be ruined again............
