He has the best moves but because of his strength they do not always work. There were many times last game where he was just pushed badly.

Just a little more information on this guy for all those interested.

He was an All-Conference outside linebacker. Briggs also recorded 26 sacks in his college career, which is best in school history and good enough for eighth all-time in the MAC.

He was so dominant, Bowling Green had to hide him in their defensive alignment by lining him up in different positions each game.

But for all of his success, Bowling Green’s best pass rusher was passed over in the past NFL Draft.

When the time came to find a team interested in his services, Briggs’ style of play aligned perfectly with 49ers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky’s 3-4 defense.

Um no.

Just because MB said he had the best pass rush skills doesnt mean he is going to set the world on fire.

But you gotta agree that Briggs played great this preseason.

He played pretty good. No one on our defense played 'great' in the preseason.

The kid's a playmaker and has shown Singletary enough consistency to earn a roster spot...not an easy accomplishment given we basically had the 8 LB's pretty well decided before the Charger game. So, hats off to Diyral.

When Spikes and Willis both came forward being impressed with D Briggs Singletary just had to listen. LOL ---

It was great to see him earn a spot by his own play this pre-season.

A ten second spell check on google to spell his name correctly. Is that too much to ask?

Mods, are we seriously going to let this thread continue? I mean, if the guy cannot even spell the player's name correctly in the thread, and then admittedly didn't even try to find the correct spelling, are we going to let it ride?

There should be some basic standard. He could have changed it already, since another poster did put the correct spelling: DIYRAL.

If he was such a good pass rusher in college why was he skipped over? I hope he can step up and do something because up until game 4 we had nothing as far as legit sacks!!

Because someone misspelled a player's name, we are going to shut down one of the few productive threads in NinerTalk.
