yup. I just laugh at the people that call up the sports talk shows saying hill needs to be supplanted by Nate Davis now. Seriously people, wtf? Did you not learn anything from the A. Smith situation?

Hmmm, I can think of a few webzone posters that might have did the calling in....

Wow Davis and Crabtree clicked over the summer. I can't wait to see what the future holds with them already gettign some Chemistry off the field.
Yeah I saw this too. I have to admit I smiled when I saw that this bit of chemistry and friendship was getting established.

Nate needs to learn the offense this year...he should challenge Hill next camp for the starting position. Not saying he'll win the competition...just that he should be ready to challenge. Whenever he gets his chance to play, I think he'll give our offense a new dimension. There's much to like about his connection w/Crabtree, Vernon, Morgan, Jones, etc.

I like what we've seen so far from Davis. I just want him to get rid of those huge butterfly shoulder-pads. He looks like a linebacker with those things.

Nope, let's not screw up the good thing that we have going. As for Davis, he has the rare opportunity to sit on the sidelines with no pressure and learn the game. Let's revisit this in a couple seasons.

3rd string QB runs the scout team in practice, no? That means the 3rd string QB actually gets more snaps than the #2 QB, just not running Niner plays.
The notion of Davis running the scout team, throwing to the lower depth chart WR guys (Crabtree, Hill and Zeigler is a most interesting development, me thinks. Bruce and Battle will both likely be off the Niner roster in 2010. Davis time will come in 2011 or 2012. Crabtree, Hill and possibly even Zeigler will move up the depth chart. Patience and development are key to handling Davis. Such reps with these WR's now, even on the scout team, will be a solid foundation for the starting line-up in 2011 and 2012.

He should challenge Hill and McCoy next year.
