Well, right now, those RBs we drafted/signed have no value whatsoever because they haven't proven themselves on offense or specials teams. Robinson has at least proven himself as a valuable ST guy and is a back up to both RB and FB (albeit not a very good one IMO).
Like Robinson these RBs are not starters right now and in this league, if you are not a starter, you have to be able and willing to play special teams. So we first have to see if the other RBs we acquire has any special teams value. If they don't, Robinson may be safe.

Outside of his trucking that kid while at Penn State, he hasn't done anything to make himself a must have on the 53. He can find work on another team. Raiders anyone? They seem to like Niner left overs.

Maybe blount, mays, or any other rookie will show up with an even better show, with more personality.

People keep saying he is a good ST'er I don't recall seeing him make many tackles??
I've seen coffee, and J.Hill make more tackles on special teams.

I don't know Sing had him as a captain last year. Seems like he will find a place for our best ST player especially after we lost Ulbrich and Hudson this offseason.
