I'm hearing mixed reviews on Alex Smith but...

he did not look very good to me. I know he has been away for a while but it was the some ol' same ol'. Couldn't get past his first read on his inital attempt and gets sacked and then shows no touch on the screen. 5 completions for 33 yards is also a typical stat line for him. He looks robotic, Hill looks like he had a feel for the game. just my inital opinion....

No surprise to me. Granted, he has had injuries but has had over 30 starts. He has been anything but consistent. He wont be able to do enough to unseat Hill and thats kind of pathetic. Mixed review??? Anyone who thinks Smith looked good last night and has a good chance at being the #1 QB has serious issues.
