The oline never ever seems to win the short yardage battles.

other than that 15 yard run, i wasn't impressed by Coffee, but after checking his stats, he started to pick it up towards the end. i'll give him credit for those 8 and 12 yard runs, but TOO MANY 2 yards and a cloud of smoke type of runs. aw hell, i'm being too hard on the boy, @ least he kept the negative runs to a minimum. GO NINERS!!!

totally agreed , if he keeps it up , no way anyone can cover his ass and Morgan will have single covrage plus Gore won't have 8 in the box !

1. Jimmy Raye has put in a good offense, and called plays well enough for the first exhibition game.

2. After all the talk, the OL (and DL) was "TOLD ME BUT DIDN"T SHOW ME".

3. QB's did not have turnovers, but held the ball way too long, looked down their receivers, and threw some crappy balls. They are waiting for receivers to get open, not throwing in anticipation of where the receiver is going to be. Huard looked far and away the most ready.

4. Apart from Clayton's recovered fumble, I think Rathman is going to be a very positive influence in keeping backs' turnovers to a minimum.

SO TRUE... imagine if he continued playing after getting comfortable with the speed of the game. My kneejerk reaction get the best of me sometimes
