Jesus. You negative f**kers are pathetic.

Go find another team.

We won. Shut the f**k up.

Yeah! Be happy

Isn't winning the main thing Catch? Would you rather settle for "moral" victories like the Niners had in Minnesota? Why bother being a fan if a win isn't the main thing that determines whether you are happy or upset after a game?

Yes I AM HAPPY, NO SARCASM! seriously...I am pretty wasted

My bad. Party on!

Ugly win against the worst team in the NFL. I'm very unimpressed.

I missed the game. I would like an honest assessment of Alex's performance if someone can. I know he didn't turn the ball over but it looks like the defense came up huge.

That is something you will not get here in Niner Talk.

Did you watch the game. How did Alex do?

Honest. Alex did just ok. Was off on a couple of passes that could have led to TD's instead of just nice plays. He also didn't have any turnovers. He was under pressure most of the game and Jimmy Raye seems to call the same thing over and over which doesn't help. Still smith need to be more accurate with his passes. It would be nice if the Niners could really improve the line. Alex also dumps the ball off a little to often, but I think that is in part from not feeling confident in his o-line. Solid B for today.

I agree, he could have been better, but he did have a good game.

20 of 31 for 230 yards and 1 TD and no INt's Only one pass attempt in the 4th

Id say he had a good game

He doesn't go 50-50 600 yards 9 TD 0 INT

So, he had a bad game.

lol, even if he did go 50 of 50 for 9 td, people will still be b***hin about something

Ask Frank about Alex
Ask VD about Alex

Hell, ask Crabs about Alex

I bet you'll get a little different assessment

Lol, we won so everything is awesome, absolutely nothing needs to be improved after watching this game.

Come on man...the Lions are a horrible team defensively and the 49ers offense barely did a damn thing today with 6 turnovers and great field posistion.

Dude, we won! Who f**king cares? We could go 16-0 next year and Alex Smith is 14/95 with 73 yards and everybody will be talking about "improvements"

WE WON THE f**kING FOOTBALL GAME. QUIT b***hING AND LOOKING FOR IMPROVEMENTS. HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE OVER A WIN?!

WINS ARE ALL THAT MATTER.

It may be ugly..it may not be Joe Montana or Steve Young-like. But a win is a win.

f**king celebrate San Francisco. Quit your b***hin'.
A win is a win is a win.

But you're delusional if you think Alex played a good game. He didn't

Alex MUST PLAY BETTER.

I hope he does next week. He will never take this team to the playoffs with the kind of performance he delivered today -- especially in the first half. He had a pretty good third quarter and the team went conservative in the 4th.

One good quarter doesn't get it done. He must play better football.

Plus how can this team improve if its own fans don't support its own team.

Jeez, so it is a team game. Spending time in the Zone you would think that wins and losses were solely the responsibility of the QB.

Typical niner talk. The question was about how Alex did not who won the game for us.

How? Did you see all those passes batted down at the LOS in the first half? Can't blame that on the offensive line. Alex did not play great football today.

He did play pretty darn well in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter is a draw because all he did was hand off to Gore.
