This. Smith had a bad game but the root of our problems is our horrible OL. It needs serious work during the off season if we want to become legit contenders next year.

And you don't think a return man should be one of our top priorities? Were you satisfied with the field position today? I would hope not! When you have a chance at a playmaker, you take it. Yes, I agree that the O-line should be our top concern this off-season, but a special teams return man should be right up there as well.

Field position is important, but I agree that the O-line is a bigger problem. I watched the end of the GB game and I saw how much time Rodgers had to throw. I imagined what Alex could do with that kind of time.

Look at the time McNabb had today....... We need lineman that can give the QB time, more than we need a return specialist.

McNabb had all day cause his entire Line hardly ever got called for holding in this game.

What exactly has Alex done to secure his job for next year? McCloughan and Singletary have yet to announce him the starter for next year, so why are you convinced otherwise?

Everybody sees the problems with the lack of pass rush, the OL, the secondary, and return game, but why does the QB position get a free pass when QB is the most important position on the field?

Alex has three wins this year and two of the wins came from horrific performances by Cutler and Warner and yet those games were still close.

With the NFL being catered to QBs and offenses, you'd think that Alex would have an easier path to success but he's done nothing.

But I guess if Alex lights up the Div II squads, the Lions and the Rams, he's the answer right?

Did the Chargers decide against Philip Rivers because Ryan Leaf sucks or did Atlanta pass on Matt Ryan because they were afraid to draft another QB after Mike Vick? No.

QB doesn't get a free pass. He gets a get out of Jail free card cause h's gotten beaten to a bloody pulp behind EVERY line he's stood under Center at.

SO if you wish to consider it a free pass that's fine. I call it paying your dues. And I guess it's open to interpretation what exactly has he paid. Well he's back and blue and has helped make this Offensive unit relevant again. Can't neglect that.

Also pressure up the middle means Heitmann is struggling as well. I know some people think he is gods gift to center but I don't see it and never have. Since he took over we have been vulnerable to pressure right up the middle.

Snyder sucks.

heitmann sucks
Baas is a great run blocker but not the best pass blocker
