This loss just shows the many reasons why the niners are not ready for the playoffs. It sucks but everything that was wrong with us in the past showed up today:

-Poor special teams plays
-Frank fumbling
-VD dropping several catchable balls, especially the one that hit him in the face that would have been the go ahead TD.
-Alex Smith having an opportunity to take a leadership role at the end and failing to come through.

Wrong

VD should've caught the go ahead td and dropped it

Agreed, replay showed that VD was wide open and didn't haul it in. That pass was on target.

Focusing on one single play is overlooking the big picture...alex touches the ball more than anyother player...everything is funneled through him...he gets the credit and the blame for a win or loss...and once again he led us to ANOTHER loss.

9 dropped passes? what are u smoking

That's part of the game...he needs to overcome those things...especially when the D only gives up 17. I mean we are now running "his" O just so he can function like a normal QB...so what's the excuse for only 14 points in 4 quarters of Football...

Yeah damn alex giving the ball to gore to fumble and making battle and jones have a boneheaded fumble too.

yeah and dont forget damn Alex Smith for throwing perfect passes that hit his recievers right in the hands

I agree. Hitting the WRs on the hands is the worst spot to place the ball.

Yep. And according to the Smith haters here we should just cut the guy for not winning the game despite the drop passes, Gore fumble, and bad refs.

Bottom line...the D held Seattle to 14 before the final drive...we didn't get it done...our QB couldn't lead us to a final score...seattles could.

Yes how can the WR make the catch if the ball reaches them & hit the hands?

difficult, but not impossible, we def have to win out and the cardinals lose out

Arizona will clinch the division in our house Monday night on national TV. Hopefully this will leave a bitter taste in the entire Organizations mouth and force them to go out and hire a real Head coach and GM.

I could only hope.

The only thing that has improved on this team since 2006 is Alex Smith and Vernon Davis.

How about we go get a solid LG and RT in FA, cut the wasted fat off the team, and go into the draft looking for 3 to 4 immediate starters.
Went to the game--my f**king goodness it was cold as hell...I was shivering like a little b***h at the start of the 2nd half even bundled up with 10 layers of clothing and a blanket--doesn't help that we were high in the rafters with all the wind though.

Wasted time outs.
Fumbling
Too few running plays

Summed up this game we let get away.

Wow, that was unexpected. What's up with your coaches? I would've rammed Gore down the Hawks throats ALL DAY LONG. After all is said and done, the 9'ers looked as sorry as my Hawks. C-ya'll next year...
Games up on Ten Yard Torrents in case anyone cares.
