We have no excuse if we lose this game. We lose we can kiss our season goodbye.

We got two weeks to prepare and teams coming of a bye week are 6-1 so far the only loss was da bears vs the falcons so far.

Alot of pressure for our team we shall see how they responds next sunday!

I think that's a little extreme...I think it's an important game, but I wouldn't say our season is over if we lose.

I'm sorry to say but you ain't realistic were heading to an 8-8 season it's a must win this upcoming game. The following week is the colts and that's an automatic loss.

I'm not saying we won't have a mediocre record, I'm just saying that I don't think this game will define our season, win or lose.

Of course it will we got every advantage that favor us and if we don't win alot of people are gonna be calling head guaranteed. Qb change? maybe? hopefully!

So just because this board will go crazy if we lose, it makes it a season-defining game for the 49ers?

Win or lose, there will still be 10 more games to be played.

Obviously your not tired of losing cause I' am tired of being mediocre. We lose we got a long season ahead of us we shall win that's all I'm saying.
Anyone know the latest points spread?

I don't think so.

I think it's important, and it'd be nice to win on the road after the bye, but there's still 10 games after this one.

well yeah thats true with 10 games left but with a young team like the one we have i dont think we can afford to have any more heartbreaks or break downs like we already have had it just could bring the whole team down also having Indy after this game would not help at all either

we can be looking at 3-4 IF we lose to Houston & Indy

how would Singletary rally the troops if we have 3 straight losses???

This game will define what kind of team we are either the first 3 games or the Atl game we have all the advantages and should win.

I agree! With the Cards' upcoming 6 games, they will most likely go 4-2. That will put them at 7-4 on the year. Most likely, if our team shows to be more the team against the Vikes than the Falcons...we will go 3-3 over the next 6 games. That means we will be a game back of the Cards at that point. The Niners really need to win every game they SHOULD win and beat a few good teams along the way. This is obvious I know but overall the Niners REALLY need to beat the Texans to develop some steam.

I completely agree. In some ways, we HAVE to win this one. Coming off a complete blowout and a bye week, the product we will see on the field against the Texans should be the most well-planned, motivated effort we should see all year. If we come out flat or even end up losing this game, it will be very telling about our whole team's personality and character. Also, at 3-2 now, going below .500 at 3-4 after surely losing to Indy the following week would put us in panic, must-win mode for the rest of the season down the stretch for the NFC crown.
