Bad news for Jones. 8 weeks is a long time, I was looking forward to watching him start early. From what I've heard he was looking great in practice. Now we'll have to wait to see if it translates to the field.

I think it depends where you line them up. It was looking like Jones was a good down field threat while Hill excels better in the slot.

I think the Jones injury plus the Crabtree holdout guarantees that either Battle or Ziegler will make the 53 man cut. Probably Battle, and place Z on the PS.

Sorry guys but I love Sing, its obviously hurting the team. Too many starters and KEY role players are nicked up and we need all the help we can get. The Niners playoff chances really hinge on the first 5 weeks of the season. This team needs to start well and we're already down a key role player and yesterday Morgan had a "close call". I believe in tough football players but let's not miss the forrest for the trees here. I know we have good WR depth but that can get real thin real fast. Camp needs to chill a little. Just a little.

so jones should be back by week 3-4 of the regular season? well he's got a lot of time to study the playbook, so hopefully it won't take too many weeks after he returns to make an impact
