New Stadium Design: Fan or not?

New Stadium Design: Fan or not?

Those stairs need to be replaced with Escalators to make it easier for drunk tail-gators and traffic flow. What's the point of having stairs that wide it it's only going two ways. It's going to be a crowded mess unless there's more dividers.
The question should be will it ever become a reality ??
based on the poll it looks like we have a very vocal minority

be glad we might even get a stadium. we play in one of the most run down dumps in the NFL (will all due respect to the history of the Stick).

the stadium were in now is extremely old, run down, and is located in a cold, windy, isolated spot where getting out of the parking lot takes hours.

beggars cant be choosers. the stadium design theyve come out with doesnt exactly look like itll be the best in the entire league, but its leaps and bounds better than where were at. especially because moving into that place will keep us in the bay area guaranteed for decades to come, and boost our revenue. it will be brand new and state of the art.

anyone voting "hate it" needs to quit whining.

Since, I am on the outside looking in, where is the city on this project? Is it moving forward?

These are the schematic plans submitted to the City for the development permit . . . they're not the final design drawings, but they're close.

http://santaclaraca.gov/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=3323

Bascially the project is ready to roll or could be ready to roll shortly after financing is locked in . . . which can't happen until a new CBA is in place.

The 9ers have class. That translates to NOT having home field advantage. Golf claps and apathy... ssshhh, don't you see your cheering hurts people's ears? How are they supposed to enjoy the Garlic Fries?...and oh ya, sit down because you're disturbing Winthorp and Humphrey's discussion of their portfolio.
The Cardinals can build what they have built and the Cowboys did a masterpiece. So why are we building this average stadium?...

that question has been answered over and over and over

right now the estimated cost for the stadium is $937 million... it will probably cost more than that when the stadium is finished. Cowboys stadium cost 1.3 billion and UoP Stadium 455 million.

Its expensive to build anything in the bay area, space is limited. This stadium looks good, its by no means a 10 but its practical which, IMO, is most important.

I just wish that the stadium would have some kind of wow factor. Hell give me something like the Seattle stadium that not only keeps the sound in but amplifies it.

have you ever had a positive thought about the 49ers in your life? have you ever had a positive though about ANYTHING in your life?

we cant build the Death Star like AZ and DAL did because land is EXTREMELY expensive to build on in the state of CA. its not a coincidence that all 3 CA teams have 3 of the oldest, dumpiest stadiums in the NFL still, while most every other team already had their new place built in the last 15 years.

its hard to find land, its hard to come up with the money now that the stadium pool is dried up, its hard to get taxpayer approval. we found a site, and got the votes, we just need to finance it.

Also, we dont need a stadium like AZ or DAL has. what for? the only reason they look so specacular is because of the retractable roof. the 49ers play in a climate similar to the Mediterranean. its beautiful weather almost year round. what do we need a roof for? AZ gets 120 degree heat, and DAL gets the humid heat/storms. they needed a roof.

in the midwest football is the most important part of life, and building on land is extremely cheap. it wasnt a big deal for Jerry Jones to build that thing.

understand the situation before you cry about it. if were lucky enough to get a brand new stadium all to ourselves, not sharing with the Raiders, and not in Los Angeles, this entire fanbase should be thrilled. itd mean revenue is going to go up, the team is going to improve, going to games would be better, and best of all, it would mean were in the bay area to stay. no more stupid LA talk.

San FranciscoEXCUSES... The Yankees and the Jets/Giants have brand new stadiums. A Billion plus respectively each. NY real estate is very expensive. It's super expensive to build anything in that area. And the land is very crowded and developed. The same excuses you are using for us. But it didn't prevent them from getting it done in both football and baseball.

It should have a video board from the 20 to the 20. And a dome with air conditioning and heat when needed. And a retractable roof. And it should have a football field of real grass on rollers that can be put inside and outside. It should have a modern design, very wide hallways, lots of bathrooms, lots of concessions and huge video boards on the outside too. Plus enough parking spaces for the masses. It should have 100,000 plus capacity like the Cowboys stadium...

Go be a cowboys fan if that is what you want. Sorry when I go to a game I like to watch the game. I'm not going to pay all of that money to watch a giant tv screen. If I wanted to do that I would stay home and watch it in my livingroom.

Just give me a nice stadium with a modern design that holds in the sound. Seems how our sissy fans can't get up and yell we need all the help we can get. We could also pump in sound like the Colts.

I'm just goin to throw this in there...

George Steinbrenner is worth somewhere around 1.1 billion dollars. Where as the York Family is worth is 900 million.

The New Meadowlands was funded not only by the Giants but also the Jets. We dont have that luxury.
