$6.5 billion mega-project across from 49ers stadium gets bigger, closer to reality

Good! That golf course is a f**king waste of space

Yup . . . second rate course that capped over an old landfill.

That's one HUGE plan they have!

The full City Place proposal is so big it would require seven phases of construction. In addition to offices, the development includes 30 restaurants, a 350-room hotel -- up from 200 rooms planned last year -- and 380 apartment units.

The window for the Raiders to share Levi Stadium has come and gone. Levi's has been built from the ground up to be a 49er venue. Any attempt to make the stadium Raider friendly would be ridiculous. Take a look at the interior design of the stadium. 49er woodwork, tile work, signs, art, paint. Not to mention things like the fan walk and the museum. Not gonna happen Raiders.

The interior looks fantastic.

Raiders are better off trying their luck to move to Las Vegas than trying to negotiate with Oakland, or LA.

Gonna be some awesome spots to check out before and after the game when this place finally gets built.
It will help to ensure a regular place in the Super Bowl rotation

I was all for the concept of sharing a stadium with the Raiders a couple of years ago, but now that it's done and they're on the outside looking in with all the heavy lifting for PSL's and financing bourne by the 49ers and the Faithful .... I say eff the Raiders.

Stadium built by old-fashioned Italians?

HA HA HA!

My Italian grandma must have been contracted for that job.
Just don't expect anything major soon: "the project gets built over the next 10 to 20 years."

They should start with doing the EIR on the former landfill upon which the golf course rests, then once that's cleared, stabilize and pave the land for more parking slots (at first), which will hopefully be open-flame friendly for tailgating, and then look to develop it with that big project...
