This looks so awesome, the nfl should make all our games Sunday night games.

On behalf of San Francisco fans, the Yorks are morons for failing at a local stadium.

Go Niners!

Oh ya, big time morons.

Hiring Baalke and Harbaugh, the GM of the year, and the best coach in the game. Then building a little stadium in an ideal location after the residents and politicians of San Francisco fought hard against building a stadium in San Francisco.

Pretty stadium. I like that the team has so much history at Candlestick and it is kind of sad to see it go... but I can't wait to see that first homegame at Levis and to hear the difference of having that many fans in a lower bowl that close to the field.

For real. That post should warrant a few hours worth of no-posting privileges. Jed taking the reigns was probably the best thing for the franchise in years, nothing but great decisions since he took full control of the operation.

Hell we even get to hear/see stories of his crazy a** breaking chairs against walls because he's so passionate about this team. If anything GO JED YORK!

THIS. jed has been the man since taking over for his dad who didnt give a s**t. we have the best coach in the league, the best gm in the league, the most talented team in the league and a new stadium is almost finished being built. whats not to love about Jed being in charge?

For those of you still wondering about the loudness of Levi's Stadium, this piece should answer all your nagging questions:

The biggest revelation, however, will occur at kickoff time: Even though Levi's Stadium will have about 1,000 fewer seats than Candlestick, it will be much louder. During a construction tour earlier this year, project co-director Robert Rayborn pointed out something to me that I had not even considered.

"It's going to be really loud in here," said Rayborn, who works for Turner/Devcon construction. "Really loud. Really, really loud."

Then he explained why, as we stood in the lower bowl. The stadium's design is different from most football stadiums.

The vast majority of luxury boxes are located in an eight-level tower--essentially, a large 12-story building--on the west side of the field. That means two things:

One, there are no upper decks on the west side, just the lower bowl and the tower.

And two, the east side upper decks can be closer to the ground--because it does not sit atop multiple levels of luxury boxes on that side of the field.

Perhaps that's a bit too architectural-geeky. But the practical ramifaction is this: All of those fans on the east side of the stadium (who are closer to the field than at Candlestick) will scream noise toward the field and the west side of the stadium. And when that noise hits the large flat side of the tower on the west side of the stadium, the noise will immediately bounce right back toward the field.

I so hope this is true. I would love it to be just like any team going to Seattle, for them to come to our house.

A few of us already had that theory

Plus the new stadium will have the largest amount of lower bowl seats in the NFL. Usually the majority of seats are 2nd or 3rd deck, but our lower level, right on top of the field, will have the majority of the seating.

so we get a fancy cheater stadium like seattle? im down

This makes me happy

For two decades the 49ers had been trying to put together a deal to stay in SF. Unfortunately, the politicians in power in SF had very little real interest in football. They put one barrier after another in front of the team and eventually Jed said, "enough," and the deal with Santa Clara was made. If you want to blame someone, go put this picture on the front of City Hall. That is where the true culprits reside.
