Stadium isn't even finished yet...

It'll look better when it's finished.

Oh, I'm sure it will. Just pointing it out to the people b***hing about the looks of a clearly half finished stadium.
Yeah it will look better when finished but they aren't going for outside looks. Some of these new stadiums will look better on the outside but that futuristic look could be out in a few years and the game day experience/technology part will be outdated in no time. Just the fact that the stadium is green and can power itself along with helping power the town when not in use makes it a cut above the rest. They said it's one of the largest green buildings in the US and it's believed to be the first stadium with solar panels and a green roof. They talk about a few more things in this article half way down the page.

I'm waiting to see it when it's finished and see the inside and hear about all the technology and hear what the fans think of the game day experience. Looks only go so far; I think most would rather have a good game day experience than a pretty looking stadium. Think of all the electricity and money saved on being able to power itself for the 10 games alone. Not to mention helping power the town when the stadium isn't in use.

i agree, its starting to look badass
I think they should paint some of the white areas a deep red and gold and keep the base white. It looks white and bland right now. I know I know. It's not done yet.

The sod install is still a bit off (they actually have more than one field being grown so the grounds crew can choose which they want). I know they don't have the moisture sensors or the irrigation controller in yet. It probably wont be installed until mid February or so. I happen to be very well acquainted with the guy that will be training the staff on the new system (Been dying to post that but had to wait until all of the specification work was done)

What are some of the fancy high tech things the field will have integrated into it?

Have you seen those Buffalo Wild wing commercials? The team will be able to trip up players on the other team via the sprinkler system.
While the controllers themselves are very high tech, they will be setting their own scheduling based on what the inground sensors tell them... moisture content, salinity and soil temperature that is measured continuously. Once I have been onsite, I will be sure to post some pictures. It has been crazy seeing all of the back and forth with the ground crew, general contractor and subs....

Not sure if posted yet but someone put this up on the 9ers.com board. It's a remote helicopter type device going around the stadium slowly giving you a good view of everything.

Also, here is a bunch of pictures of the Levi's sign up close and the installing of it. (It turns to old pics after awhile but there are about 30 new ones)
