edit: sorry, you probably meant the kingdome.

Still though. - that same design is happening for the 49ers stadium I believe. I wish I had a link but I remember reading it somewhere

People assume that only a dome can create a lot of noise. A dome is a guaranteed way of making the stadium loud, but acoustics are not as simple as people think. Our stadium has a chance to be very loud with the way its designed.

You can design the stadium to be as loud as you want, but we dont have the fans to make it happen.

Its sad to say, but the 49er fanbase, while passionate, proud, and large in numbers, pretty much sucks at being a home crowd. Were not that loud, and we sell half our seats to opposing fans. The Cowboys game in 2011 was a joke. 50-60% Cowboys fans, and it was the home opener.

People from Dallas love visiting San Francisco. I know because I live here. Cowboy fans are abundantly distributed throughout the US, but these fans specifically love traveling to the Bay Area. It isn't much to do out here besides desert weather and open plains with too much shopping so any excuse to travel to a place like SF is right up their alley. If they get a chance to go to a road game why not SF? Everyone I talk to here loves visiting SF and most wish they could if they had a chance. This is my theory as to why we sometimes see other team's fans in our stadium. Of course, maybe I am just fishing and the fact of the matter is that we should be diehards and never sell our tix and just get our butts out to games.

Can't see them in the pic....Section 235. Home side (Suite Tower side), second deck, just south of the club seats.

Very nice! You could have put a red arrow pointing to the general vicinity or something

I do. I saw that when the first renders came out. Fairly similar.

I sooooo envy you. The company I work for here in Phoenix has an office in SJ - like, 5 miles away from the stadium. Guess where I want to get transferred to?

My God, that thing looks almost freaking done! Good enough...throw in some grass and let's do it. It's already a better facility than Candlestick (minus the nostalgia).

Think about it .... 10 months since groundbreaking - Structural steel is 95% complete. Glass is already being installed. I'm sure electrical and plumbing are well on their way, too. 10 months.
