Mindi Bach: On Monday, Trent Baalke came to you in the weight room and said, 'We want you back'. What was that conversation like?
Frank Gore: We were just talking about football, and basically, he was saying, 'Next year we gotta do this, we gotta do that.' So I said, 'Well, I'm going to be here next year then?" He said, 'Yeah, I want you back here next year.'

This should make fans happy. The GM going right to the heart of the offense and telling him he is wanted and that he is going to do this and that to right this ship. This is a FO that had a pulse on the players, the locker room and the fans.

HaRoman ruined this year for Frank. I think dude, with Hyde could have had a monster year. This is why you don't need four 1000-yard receivers. All you need is balance to allow your 2 good receivers and 1 fast receiver to break it open. The RB's and TE's can help with the underneath stuff.

Big time. As hard as it is to move on to "change" I"m also excited to see what direction we go as well. As calculated as Baalke is, it would not surprise me if he TOLD Frank (in that exchange) who he's got an agreement with already and as a result, we'll do THIS and THAT next year and YOU will be a big part of that. You're the heart of our offense and we're sorry for wasting you this year!

Frank ain't scared
just like when he was coming out of high school, he said he could have started as a freshman at ole miss, but went to the U who already had davenport, portis and mcgahee because he wasnt affraid to compete.

Besides wishing he resigns with us what i really want Tommorow is for him to get over 1000 yards & i even though AZ defense is stingy & Gore has struggled vs teams that can shut down the run he might get alot of opportunities with Lindley playing QB tommorow i can see alot of 3 & outs for AZ giving our offense plenty of chances to move the ball & hopefully it can wear out their defense i mean it shouldnt be impossible its only 38 yards we are talking about

I cried when I saw Montana wear a Chiefs jersey (I was 10, sue me), I got pissed when I saw Rice in a Raiders jersey.
I don't want to see the best RB I've ever seen play for this team in another team's jersey.

Frank could go down as one of the most underrated RBs of all time. There are very few backs that I have ever seen play that have his vision and thats no homer. My favorite play this season was when he ducked through the tiny gap of the OL engaged to the DL (think it was Boone) but he literally went under them like they were forming a tunnel like adults do with their children after peewee soccer games and turned a no yard gain into 5 yards, just one of his many many many plays like that.

I know im in the minority here. I want Frank Gore to hoist a Lombardi trophy, even if he does that with a different team. It would suck to see him go, but he deserves it. That being said, I dont wanna see.him finish his career with a team like the jags, raiders, redskins, or any other noncontender. But he leaves to sign with
a legit contender I would understand

Frank will end up in a good situation, I have no doubt. If he stays, we will finally have our first competent OC since Norv. If he leaves, teams like NE or Indy could be in the market for a feature back to put them over the top...last time NE won the SB (a decade ago) was when they had Corey Dillon running for 1600+ yds at age 30. Miami is a homecoming option with a wide open offense, Lamar Miller is a good back but he's terrible at pass pro.

I hope they were serious about bringing Gore back. I hope he has a great game today. I would really miss this dude. Played with so much heart and was one of the few bright spots through the rough years. Favorite niner in this era of the niners.
