The strategy was to keep all the speculation in one thread rather than a bundle of different ones. That's working fine. No idea what strategy you are referring to which isn't working.

Odd that one speculation is so derided whereas many are not. I don't expect this to happen and give it less than a 1% chance, but who cares? It is an interesting jumping off point for comparing Cousins to JG. If Shanahan really did like Cousins much more than JG why would this be out of the question?

Let's take it one step further...Brady is injured in the SB and ends his career, Belichick wants to trade for JG, signs Cousins while the niners sign JG and they trade--SF gets Cousins and NE's 1st Rd pick, NE gets JG and one of the niners 3rd round picks. Then...meanwhile, back at the ranch...
