Hi long time lurker,
Big fan of Rueben Foster, and obv the new quarter back : )
Been following 49ers for a few years now, and I am new too nfl, and love it.
Have some questions, if you guys wouldn't mind answering,
Who are your top 5 wide receivers in the league atm ?
I've seen a bit of number #11 of the falcons jones ? This guy looks pretty sick
Also the guy that puts the ball down on turf for the field goals, what position is this ? Who does this for the 49ers?
Also on the recent press conference after the win against the titans, there was a Gatorade bottle near the microphone, after Kyle the coach and Robbie Gould finished talking, when jimmy walks out to talk, he grabs the bottle and removes it before he starts answering questions just curious why he would
Cheers

Also with garçon, I know he is injured atm, what I saw of him liked, he seemed pretty reliable when it came to catching, and that was with worse QB, is he signed for next year ? Would be good to see him playing with jimmy

We need an WR1, preferably from the draft.

nah i think they're ok at the position. They won't have a true #1 but several good WR's so jimmy can spread the ball around.

Welcome. Little tip, try to stick with one subject in a thread. This one should really be in NFL talk section.
Top WR's in the league IMO are
Antonio Brown, Steelers #84
Julio Jones, Falcons #11
DeAndre Hopkins, Texans #10
AJ Green, Bengals, #18
Odell Beckham Jr, Giants, #13
The FG position you're looking for is called the holder. Nearly every team (inc 49ers) now uses their Punter to do this, reason being they get more time to practice together. It used to be a role for the backup QB.
No idea on the Gatorade, maybe a sponsorship thing

No way they're ok - we need a true WR1 to play opposite Garcon.

It's not as big of a priority as OL, DE and CB. A true #1 is probably the least important on the list. (as of right now)

We're fine there. I wouldn't pass on a Calvin or Julio but there's no need to force the pick.

I know he isn't a WR1, but how about Jimmy Graham? He fits perfectly with Jimmy G imo and would be an instant redzone threat. Jimmy G to Jimmy G has a nice ring to it. Graham, Goodwin, Garcon, Draft Barkley... With Shanahan calling plays and Jimmy G pulling the trigger very scary imo!

How many years has Garoppolos mentor done it without a true #1 WR.
WR. 1- Garcon
WR 2 Marquis Goodwin
Slot- Trent Taylor
Aldrick Robinson
Louis Murphy
Bourne
McAffrey- my hope for KR PR- Special teams to develop into back up WR
Granted a true number one would be NICE, but to me other positions would take priority.
1. OL
2. EDGE
3. BPA Saquon Barkley if he fell to number 5, dare to dream

Agree.
+2. Garcon,Garnett,Malcolm Smith and Ward at CB if they were all healthy would be a pretty solid boost to what we have. But trenches the definite priority then CB.
