Think we should pursue if rumors are true that he wants out of Pitt??
I definitely should, Lynch don't like guys with issues like Bryant but he gave Joe Williams a chance and we need receivers who can CATCH the ball and open up the field.
Also remember in the Baalke days every free agent or rumor like this, the story would come out that the Niners were interested but of course nothing never amounted lol

Well, the mods never noticed this, and I didn't see the old one, so I will comment. I would look long and hard at trading for Bryant, with his public demand, he should be fairly cheap to acquire in trade. He makes basically 700K this year and next, so we could get a long look to see ig he can be a big piece of this team going forward, or if he's someone we end up letting go down the road. I wonder what it would take to land him? A 6th? If he could be had for a 6th or 7th, I would jump on it, because he has the ability to be a elite WR, and would give us that 6'4'' BIG WR that can go deep.

Would rather have Josh Gordon.
Both are 1 suspension away from never playing again.

Heck, Sign them both and bring back Kaepernick. We can really build a "winning culture" with those guys...

He wouldn't want to leave the mighty steelers to join the inept 49ers.

His reason for being down on Pburgh was he's got a family to support. He wants stats and to get paid.

I wonder if the Rams will be interested in trading for the guy so they can have two receivers on the roster that complain when they don't get used in the volume or manner that they wish to be?
That aside, I personally wouldn't want to see us trade for this guy. There is no doubting his talent because he's proven his ability to go out there and make plays. I think putting him opposite Garcon would be good for the team, but is Bryant reliable? Not really. He missed the start of his rookie season due to a poor training camp and minor injury. Second season he served a four game suspension. Third season he missed due to suspension. Now he's into his fourth season and been sidelined due to his attitude. I personally don't think this is the kind of guy a team will give a lot up for because he's one strike away from an indefinite suspension and now he's shown he won't step up and fight when there's competition for his place. Let's face it, the Steelers were always likely to add further depth to their roster with the departure of Markus Wheaton to Chicago and the unreliable nature of their number two receiver. That's without considering this is a "win now" team due to Big Ben entering the final years of his career, so adding more weapons to their offense makes total sense and JuJu is a very talented player.
So I would find it hard to justify giving up more than a 6th or 7th round pick for the guy because of his unreliable nature, his attitude towards competition, and the fact he'll need extending when the 2018 season is over. So there's an obvious risk to giving up an asset and later an extension to someone like Bryant, and then there's the further problem if we decide to add another play maker through the draft or free agency, because at that point will he take it well or negatively again? For me, I'd stay well away from Bryant and let another team take him on.
