Browns left tackle Joe Thomas said before the Super Bowl that he was rooting for the Patriots for one specific reason: He wanted to see NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell have to award the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the franchise that hates him most. Thomas was not disappointed.
Thomas said this morning on PFT Live that he loved every moment of the Super Bowl LI postgame ceremony, in which Goodell honored the Patriots to a chorus of boos, and then retreated from view.
"I especially enjoyed how over-eager Roger was to smile at all the Patriots and give them a big handshake, but then as soon as he gave them the trophy he scurried off the stage like a rat," Thomas said. "It was awesome."
Thomas added that as he gets older and more experienced in the NFL, he finds himself caring less and less about whether anyone has a problem with him expressing his opinions. That's good news for those of us who enjoy hearing a player speak freely and candidly. Thomas will surely have plenty more to say.

these players (THOMAS).. . they just don't get it..
Owners don't care how Goodell act, who cares, he brings them money left and right.. players are getting paid, and just like the movie CASINO where the old cowboy told Robert De Niro that..
" you all don't get it, you all think you owe the Las Vegas, when in fact, you all are just visitors here"..
In a year or 3, when Thomas is hurtin and done playin, he maybe remember as one of the best OT to ever play the game, but he the owners and Goodell will continue to just shake hands and count their millions and laugh about the players who are still taking shots about the league..

Joe Thomas was reacting to the fans reaction. Without the fans there is no NFL. The whole stadium booed him so loud you could barely hear what he was saying. Roger Goodell's days are numbered. That is absolutely humiliating and reflects negatively on the NFL.

People keep trying to clown Goodell. The dude gets paid $40M a year. He has zero problems. Why the f**k would he care what a player has to say about him?

If anyone has cashed in on the NFL's success in recent years as a $10 billion a year industry, it's commissioner Roger Goodell. As USA Today pointed out on Tuesday, Goodell's salary eclipsed $34 million in 2014. All told, Goodell made $180.5 million since becoming commissioner in 2005.Feb 16, 2016
Roger Goodell is extremely overpaid. His job can be done better at a fraction of that cost. He is a joke and doesn't know how to take responsibility for his Actions. He acts like a dictator/prison warden. His approval rating is abysmal and falling.
A PPP survey of NFL fans indicates that Roger Goodell remains tremendously unpopular. The NFL commissioner garnered a 19 percent favorable rating and 40 percent unfavorable rating from fans. His job approval rating comes in at 28 percent, 19 points less than the mark Americans give President Barack Obama.Feb 11, 2016

THANK YOU !!!
Goodell just laughs about it and enjoys the show while the clowns (us fans) continues to over pay for tickets, food, alcohol, merchandise and believe that certain owner hates him ....
it DOESN'TTTTTTTTTTTTT MATTER if you hate your one of your employee(s), as long as he's putting millions and millions and miillions of dollars in your bank, you'll just have to go along for the ride !!!

Joe. What a whiney, b**ch-like millionaire.
"Goodell and the owners are greedy!" He yells from his Rolls-Royce.

Joe Thomas is 100% correct.
"Deflate Gate" was nothing but a joke. Whether it was pursued by Goodell on his own accord, or he was pushed to do it by owners of the teams who consistently lose to the Patriots, the whole thing was BS.
I never remember the same animosity directed towards Paul Tagliabue, and I was too young when Pete Rozell was commissioner. Goodell has rightly earned his reputation as a d-bag. It would behoove the owners to hire someone to be a better representative for them.
