Jon Gruden to Indy?

Irsay's plane apparently was in Houston right after the Raiders/Texans game that Gruden called. Wade Phillips is also from Houston so that would be a heck of a combo.

Irsay has also not publicly committed to Pagano or Grigson for another year so he could be setting some things up behind the scenes.

Maybe he was just there to party and take in the game.
major stretch
Gruden is unlikely to go back to coaching. Everything to lose, nothing to gain.

And we know how much Irsay loves to party.

He is done with coaching unless he gets drunk, goes bizzerk on national television and gets fired. He is the new John Madden...$banking$ on his personality without the coaching stress of getting fired.

rumor was he told the rams an interview was pointless unless the pony up 20-30 mil a year. Never going to happen
he's been out of the game for 10 years.

half true..

but GRUDEN's smart... he's got a POSSIBLE future HOF on Luck.. The vision of drafting Corey Davis or Williams, pairing him w/Luck can be something special.. all he needs then is to build a solid defense.. in that weak division, the Colts can run the table all over again..

Unless he brings a superbowl to his new club within two years he will be pronounced a failure. Right now he has the lot. Why risk it? He is not coming back.

Honestly, Indy needs to clean house, especially their GM. They have made some of the worst FA pickups and draft picks. Luck is the only reason that team wins at all. Without Luck, they'd be worst than the Browns.

But i doubt that Gruden is coming back. He said it would need to be an insane amount of money.
