Why would we want to bring in a veteran QB? So we can win 8 games this year instead of 6? I want our QB play to be piss poor so we can draft a better one (Watson/Kizer).

The OP makes a good point. Im not sure about Romo, but hes an upgrade over the guys we have now.

Point being if we're gonna rely on Gabbs the next 1-2 years, draft a young guy and "hope" he's the next big thing, then we're going to be stuck in mediocreland for a very long time.

I think we've got the right coaching staff. Our young guys are developing. We need a stopgap QB until "the one" arrives.
