Non story IMO. This is Belichick being Belichick and making Rex prepare for both QB's even though Bill knew Jimmy was not going to play on Thursday night.

May or may not be...but more specifically, issues or no issues, if a certain Niner coach likes him and the Patriots are willing to part with him for the right price, the Niner FO should be looking at this option
