Trade for Tom Savage?

Regarding a trade (involving Kap if possible), it would be great to get a QB in return...one I like who's still young (26) and has the size (6'4", 230 lbs) with a great arm and good pocket presence is Tom Savage on the Texans. He was out all last year after getting hurt in the preseason. Looked great against us a few weeks ago and seems to be an improving player from what I've read (liked his game in college and thought it would translate well to the NFL). The Texans just spent a boatload to bring aboard Osweiler so they're set with their starter...they have Weeden to back him up so they do have options outside of Savage. The Niners could also throw in an OL if needed as the Texans just lost their rookie C Martin for the year and Duane Brown is hurt. Maybe the Texans would see Kap as a "fresh start" candidate where they could try to bring out the best in him. Anyone have feedback on Savage who has closely watched him play?

The Niners would probably have to eat some of Kap's contract if he were involved in this trade. It could be worth it, IMO, if it meant they could get a young, potentially up-and-coming QB like Savage while moving on from Kap. Also, they're paying Gabbert a very low salary this year plus Savage is on his low $ rookie contract through this year.
