I see their point but the fact still remains, SD does not do business that way and that's the team he got drafted to. There is nothing that says they have to remove the offset language and/or pay the entire bonus after year 1. Just because other teams do it (mostly typical bottom feeders anyways), does not mean they have to do it. The ball is in SD's court

I have a feeling this is going to happen to the Chargers again if that's their policy. I'd love to see Bosa at a value pick in next yrs draft though, wouldn't it be something if the Chargers stuck it to him by redrafting him

IMO a singing bonus should be paid at the time of singing. That's why it's called a singing bonus. lol

The Chargers worrying about the 5th year double dip is dumb.

for real? That was over 10 years ago. This is about money and words in contract protecting money. Eli was about not wanting to play for the team period. If SD just gives the dude the money he signs. took my time with that one. for some reason my pointer fingers get weird on the keyboard with that word lol
