Rod Woodson is on there and Ronnie Lott is not? He got his Cowboys in there, though, didn't he? Gil Brant is an unapologetic Cowboys homer who always pushes the NFC E.

In his defense, not that it is much of a defense, Gil Brandt did say they were the best defenders he'd ever seen.
Guess he never saw Ronnie Lott play.Too many great defenders to put them all on a top 10 list.

Reed was great, but he mainly played FS. Lott was a CB then Safety, and dominated at both positions.

No Ronnie Lott? Gil Brandt is one of the most reputable writers that tracks the NFL. He can see way back in time and is a great talent evaluator. Ronnie should be on the list, he could intimidate from the safety position and also from corner in his early years. That enforcer was always someone who played the DL or linebacker, that changed when Ronnie entered the league.

Gil Brandt...the former Dallas GM left out a 49er off his list, shocking.
Dude is senile, nothing to see here.

I was having an argument with a texans fan the other day that was telling me Watt is greatest defensive player of all time. I told hold up, let him pass up Willis first, before you put him over people like Ray Lewis.
