There's supposed to be in the 50s, and 90s are ok, I think if the team doesn't have a 50 or 90 available, they're allowed to wear in the 40s, it's weird. In college a LB can wear any number, same for a Punter or Kicker, you see some Punters wear in the 80s or 90s.

Remember the days when Keyshawn Johnson was the only WR wearing a number in the teens.

i know. but in this case they do have numbers available.. in atlanta, 53, 57, 58.. 51 was available before Wheeler took it... and Beasley is actually playing DE wearing 44.. so no numbers in 70's or 90s? i just don't get it..

we.. i found it.. linebacker in the 40s? uhhhhh really..
Beasley was allowed to select a number in the 40s as a result of a new rule approved in March by the competition committee allowing linebackers to chose numbers from 40-49.

Why do they even have requirements in the first place?

Easier to identify when the positions are grouped together.
