Should we acquire Matt Stafford for 2016?

When Stafford plays like turd next year will we sit around baffled as to why he sucks? Will we pine for the backup? Rinse and repeating the same mistakes, expecting different results. Insanity.
Your freaking out over a topic that is highly unlikely, none of us have even said it sounds like an absolute great idea. So your few posts that are seeming like tantrums are a little alarming. Your usually "ok" with staying on point but you seem to be upset about things no one is saying.

Bridge QBs don't cost over $10 million though lol.
There are teams that are a QB away from being pretty good and I think he could help them, SF needs more than just a QB.
I could see Stafford going to the Texans
he'd fit in with Houston quiet nicely , he's more suited for a Coryell / Zampese style of offense IMO, power running and deep shots downfield
Totally agree I think he'd be a train wreck in SF
Is it because he needs more talent around him in order to suceed? Like i said, I never really watched him often. on my dynasty fantasy leagues i drafted sanchez instead of stafford those years so i paid more attention to sanchez than stafford for sure. So is he a guy that just cant really lift a team? I mean Ive always seen the lions put up good numbers with him, it just seems like the other team puts up a little more lol. But from what ive read if the lions let him go ALOT of teams will be interested.

As a starter? I doubt that. And for anywhere near his current money it is a massive no-no. The guy plays in spurts. He can throw some really good passes then he seems to lose it and just overthrow or throw INTs. I would rather start Gabbert and see where he goes, and try the draft.

I doubt that Lions would do it.. but if they do agree to trade us Stafford for any player on the team, i'd even throw Reid in there for free!!

Bearing in mind that he is garbage, I can't say I see your point of view. So you would be happy to give them Bowman or Lynch and Reid for Stafford.

he's always had some of the best offensive weapons around him, the OL is awful this year but he's also had a top defense as well.
My buddy is a huge Lions fan and is completely done with him...he's not super accurate and tries way to hard to make the difficult pass (watch all the side arm throws that are completely unnecessary) instead of t he easy play.
I think he would make for a solid bridge QB for a rookie to learn under but he won't get paid like one and some team will think they can change his bad habits

I would prefer pick a young QB like Goff or Paxton on 1st round and sign a veteran player to be bridge QB like Drew Stanton or Jimmy Clausen.

Stafford's been inconsistent with receivers most QB's would die for. He has way too many turnovers for a vet. How 'bout we all give Gabbert a realistic shot at the job, eh?
