Actually yeah it does matter. A better QB can account for blitz packages and will get the ball out earlier and more accurately. Still need to fix the Oline though.

You should be banned from posting for wanting RG III. As mentioned, he is a more fragile version of Kaepernick. Why would you not just stick with Kaep....
Plus RG III throws coaches and players in front of the bus, no thanks.

RG3 is a dumber, more fragile, more egotistical version of Kap.

So you think it's ALL about blitz recognition by the QB, ummmmm ok. Even the two best QB's in the NFL have damn good lines.

Draft Goff and an OLine
Trade Kap for a 2nd
Sadly, we couldnt get a 2nd for kap. Maybe a 4th if we're lucky. We'd deal him to anyone who'd be willing to take his contract. I can see us trading him for a 5th or 6th rd pick at this point.
Why could we not?? we got 2 2nds for Smith....and Kap has been to a SB an multiple playoffs. He also has a team friendly contract.
It still blows my mind people are dropping Kap after two bad games.
^^^So much this. What vet QB is worth dumping Kap for to let Goff mature. Plus why even bring in if we're drafting Goff in the first, which is a huge mistake.

No way..they both suck
Tannehill has had a rough first 4 games of the season, but he certainly does not suck. Not even close.

Keep, exploded on the scene, running a dumbed down version of Romans offense, he looked amazing. He regressed as Roman expanded the play book, and tried to alter who Keap is. Now e is trying to lean a new offense, more timing based, new receivers, bad O-line, he looks awful, but give it time, this season is lost. This season never was going to be good, putting it all on Keap is silly, give it time.

Ryan Mallet doesn't look terrible right now. What's his status?
Edit.. nevermind, this guy may be an oversensitive whiny b***h based on how he handled that last drive with him on the sideline.

The reason is I estimate he would cost a fraction of Kaepernick. Kaep = $17 mil next year. RG3 if cut = whatever he signs for on the FA market. This would be SIGNIFICANTLY less that $17 mil.
And you have to admit pre injury he absolutely destroyed the NFL. The Redskins were hosting a playoff game with this guy under center and not much else around him. We're talking pennies on the dollar of CK7's cost.
I like these current backups to compete in 2016 against Kaep or draft pick, one is going to be a FA the others should not be that hard to get.
1. Mike Glennon
2. Ryan Nassib
3. Matt Macgloin
4. Tom Savage
5. Jimmy Garrapolo

I'm not a big fan of this guy, but could Matthew Stafford be on his way out of Detroit?

Who cares? $53 million contract, poor qb on a slope of deterioration, interception machine. Actually I would prefer to start Gabbert than sign Stafford.
