No guarantees, that's for sure.
the move comes about mainly because stephenson is more comfortable on the left side though fisher's play has been disappointing

not his best position
Was Staley being a college homer on this guy or did a pro bowl LT miss like everyone else did?

Everyone missed on this guy… coming out of the the combine/all star bowl process he was supposed to be a lock for the pro bowl it seemed. But thats why its a crap shoot, even the surest of locks can bust out. Similar to Robert Gallery.

Good call man!
Baalke's bargain radar must be going off. 1st round talent without the production to match.

Trade for no higher than a 5th round pick and restructure his contract!
I'd take him.

Vernon for Fisher straight up.

Davis is worth more than a first-round bust

Based on last year? Hard to make that argument.

Keep that train of washed up Niners to KC going!
Word is that Fisher moved to RT because the guy backing him up at LT was significantly better at LT than the next best guy at RT. So this was an attempt to get the best linemen on the field..not a demotion. Reid was pretty clear.

That's the problem with drafting raw players and workout warriors full of hype from smaller college early in the first round. Left tackle is the toughest position to fill besides QB. At least, Staley was a late first rounder drafted to play right instead of left tackle. He had alot less pressure.
