among others:
rule change that would allow teams to try for a "bonus" point after a successful 2-point conversion
reviewing all fouls called by game officials
expanded playoffs
"catch" or "no catch" rule
The committee is presenting a proposal by the Detroit Lions that would permit the instant replay system to correct an officiating error. That would include such controversial calls as pass interference.

I really don't want PIs to be reviewable just so games don't have to be 4 hours long. I'd guess AT LEAST half of PI calls would be reviewed and you're prob looking at 2-3 reviews per half standard.
Just hire younger and/or FT refs and be done with it.
And that bonus point thing is the dumbest s**t I've ever heard. Its a sport not a damn game show.

can't we put the refs on some sort of incentive based salary?
bonus 10% if you f*ck up less than 10 calls in a season..... something like that

So would the "bonus" point on a successful 2-pt conversion be a kick or another try for the end zone? Whichever it is a 9 point scoring play would be pretty cool.

Just keep the points the way it is. Next thing you know they'll change it so that field goals will be on a sliding scale. For each 10 yards, the kick would be worth 1 point. 10 yards = 1 point, 20 yards = 2 points and so on. You decide how far back you want to go.
Can you imagine if Jimmy Raye was still here? By the time he figures out what he would wants to do, the game would be halfway over.

If they are going to implement an extra point fg after a two point conversion, their should be a penalty if a team's kicker does not make the extra point like field position or sacrifice one of the two points made in the two point conversion.

Geezus Khryst ...Goodell is going to change the game completely , wish he would just leave well enough alone, the game is ok, leave it alone ....the NFL is going to be a completely different game in 10 years or so, with all the rule changes over the years, the game will be a soft game of two hand touch eventually, Dick Butkus is rolling over in his grave and he ain't even dead yet?

Every year there are a bunch of new rule changes proposed and every year almost all of them fail, so don't worry about it. I do really think they need replay review of helmet to helmet hits because they're bang-bang plays that happen quickly and we've seen how often refs get that one wrong. Guys are trying to make clean tackles and shouldn't get penalized because the ref couldn't see it correctly.

but ever since Goodell came aboard, he has been promoting changes to the game to "make the games more exciting for the fans?" ....he has been pushing for somewhat radical changes to the game, getting rid of the extra point and kickoffs were discussed among other changes , Tagliabue and Rozelle never led the charge for so many changes to the game ...granted, yes I agree with rules that were implemented to keep the players safe, but hopefully there wont be any drastic changes that eventually change the game forever
