You guys are digging too deep into a very simple but telling stat. His 2-9 record isn't due to the throw attempts, it's not about conditions or who he plays, none of that. It's literally a stat that EVERY QB has, no favorites or situations chosen, a stat showing their record when having to score more then 24 points? Anyways it actually gets worse when you dig deeper lol, Andrew Luck has 8 wins when the opponent puts up 25 or more and Wilson has 0, yes literally ZERO. Mark Sanchez? He has 2 wins in that category, Cam has 2, Dalton has 6. Actually a very comparable qb to Wilson when it comes to management is Alex Smith, in his entire career, he has 3 wins when the opponent puts up 25 or more, maybe Wilson will get that many by the end as well. Wilson has such an elite defense that in a 100 career game stretch, his defense gave up 0-9 points 28.57 times, 10-18 points 33.93 times, 19-27 25 times, and 28-40 12.5 times. 19-27 would be considered average defense, 87.50% of the time his defense gives up LESS then 27, that's gross lol, he has a HISTORICALLY good defense, and Lynch.
Let me put this defense in the spotlight, take the career of multiple solid to elite qb's, take the percentage of games they've played where the defense gives up 24 or more points.
Tom Brady 27.5%
Peyton Manning 35%
Drew Brees 41.5%
Aaron Rodgers 31.6%
Eli Manning 37.8%
Joe Flacco 25%
Tony Romo 35.7%
Matt Stafford 44.3%
Andrew Luck 40.7%
Russel Wilson 12.5%
LOL
Wilson, I believe, is actually the only qb in the entire study that does not have one single win when the opponent scores 25 or more, not one. To really nail this home, he's compared to Luck often, and it's hilarious, Luck has had a defense that is historically BAD, they give up 30+ 27.8% of the time, compare this to R Wilson facing that kind of mountain 1.8% of the time. It's literally not that difficult to comprehend, but we can keep crunching numbers if you'd like. Andrew Luck has actually never lost a game when his defense held a team to 18 or less, not one game, and he's only lost one in his entire career when they're held to 21 or less. One is a game manager, one is a franchise quarterback carrying a team on his back.
The end.
