Word is he didn't want Manziel starting. considering that Pettine benched Hoyer with a 7-4 record, I can't say that I blame Shanahan.
Complete bonehead move only done to appease the public IMO. Starting Manziel only proved that Hoyer wasn't the problem; Cleveland's atrocious (albeit injury-riddled) o-line was. And now for better or worse, they're stuck with Manziel because Hoyer is likely gone once free agency hits.

Hoyer had a 4-5 game stretch of horrid performances. So I can understand the desire to switch to your 1st round QB under those circumstances.
I can't blame Shanahan wanting out of a crappy QB situation in Cleveland, but it certainly doesn't help his reputation in the league. If he goes to the Jets, the media is going to rip him apart.

hearing he's a fav of Fangio's, should fangio get the HC job.
srsly, why would you take a dude from one of the s**ttiest franchises in history? Grab the fkn QB coach from NE or something.

Because he took a very average QB with no weapons and an injured s**tty offensive line and made them fun to watch and win some games.

Yep. KS is a good OC. My only big issue with the hire would be his big ego. But besides that I think he would be really good for Kap.
