This. I think Hamilton is a good coach, but he's mostly riding on Luck's talent.

There's that saying "The team takes on the personality of their coach"...I also believe the offense takes on the personality of the QB. If the QB is brilliant, the coach's scheme looks brilliant. Hamilton does nothing special, he just has a bright young QB.

This. Pep Hamilton was also the QB coach for the Bears and his last year was also Jay Cutlers first year (27 TDs and 26 INTs). Also one of the reasons he was brought in was to help with the run game. In 2013 the Colts were 20th in rushing yards and currently this year are 15th.
