If Barry Sanders can retire early (without a ring), anyone RB can imo.

Barry Sanders was 30 when he retired and Detroit had gone 19-29 over his last three years.

Yea, just saying he had alot left in his tank too. Was so close to breaking records and just decided to hang them up. Minnesota runningback Robert Smith is another one that retired earlier than I thought. He had just came off a career year of over 1500 yards and 350 receiving yards, then he quit. it was his 4th straight 1k season. Glenn Coffee retired earliest though. Pretty much before he did anything.

This would be quite a boon for us if it were to happen.
People who think he's replaceable are insane. Sure, you can probably find someone to replicate his production, but who can replicate the impact his major runs have on the team? He makes game changing plays which is more valuable than just numbers. Him and Earl Thomas are the heart and souls of that team.
Dude had no impact during the Super Bowl and was detained by the niners most of the game until Aldon let him slip through his grip.
That being said I hope he stays there because we pretty much have his number as long as there is no side bs distractions like Pete suckin off the refs for favortism penalties and 12Th man chit.

If Jim Brown can retire at 29, Lynch can retire at 28...it's really not that farfetched.
This is a bunch of media b******t. Just like the Kap story, there's no truth to it.

Exactly.
Lynch missing practices isn't news either, dude has done it for the past 3-4 years.

If he wants to go out on a winning note, this is the time to do it... they'll be lucky to sneak in as a wild card (one and done), but I'm banking on 9-7 and no post season for the cawks.

I hope he stays for the sweep (49ers are going 6-0 in the division).

Quit calling him that -___-

Won't believe it until it happens, but if it does happen, Seattle sure as hell isn't repeating.
If Lynch is looking for money, it ain't gonna happen, even though Lynch knows damn well Russell Wilson is half the man he is because of Lynch's screens off the edge (cause Wilson can't see over his center).

Somebody else nailed it pretty well a page or two back, Lynch knows he has to face some of the three best NFL defenses 6 times this year; Peyton Manning didn't want anything to do with it, so why should Lynch worry about his health/future without some gain when he already has the 'only' thing an NFL player strives for?

RIP skittle fields.

Yep it's the downside of playing in the most physical division (by far) in the NFL. Lynch is gonna be worn down faster in this division than others most likely. Maybe he should finish his career with the Pats, they play in probably the easiest division. Jets, Bills, Dolphins? LOL. Basically the Patriots get to play Monopoly with 4 houses already on Boardwalk before the season starts by playing in that laughable division.

"Come on fan's were much smarter than the media , all they want to do is sell a story, u cant trust them , they were the one's who doubted us and yet we showed up and showed out , don't let them tear up our happy home misery loves company so shut the door on negativity cause it has no place here !!!!"

LOL, NOW it is selling a story, not with all the Harbaugh and Baalke feud BS stories or the Kaepernick sexual non-assault story....etc.

Not sure if you haven't been paying attention but the Jets, Bills and Dolphins all have some pretty physical defenses as well. This isn't 3 or 4 years ago. All of those teams have gotten a lot tougher defensively. Guys like Kiko Alonso, Sheldon Richardson and Cameron Wake mean that its not nearly as much of a walk in the park as it might have been in the past.
