We absolutely would have beat Denver, although I don't think by that big a margin. Hate to say it, but Seattle pulled off one of the finest defensive performances I've seen in the SB. They suffocated Denver's record-setting offense with a physical secondary, deep pass rush rotation, and superior team speed. Manning was not confused. Seattle runs a very basic scheme. They just physically beat down everyone on the field, and Manning was under intense pressure.
You can throw on our secondary, I don't think you can say the same about Seattle's. We've been burned by breakdowns 2 years in a row. I think that factored into the secondary overhaul we've seen this off-season. Hopefully an infusion of new talent will upgrade the unit, and we add depth to the front 7 to keep the pass rush fresh.
