"The Redskins proposed to move the kickoffs to the 40-yard line, to allow instant replay to extend to personal foul penalties, and to get rid of preseason overtime."
Shocking right, a team with s**tty special teams proposing a rule that would certainly be to their benefit.

No to kickoffs at the 40.
Yes to making pf penalties challengeable.
Yes, get rid of pre-season overtime.

Lets just get rid of all the rules and start over. The NFL F/O is a joke and are slowly killing the league.

Teams could still choose to kick it in bounds (to run time off the clock for example).

1) Someone tell Dan Snyder to shut up.
2) Yes please.
3) I'll be honest, I had no idea preseason games could go to overtime.

They're responding to Lawsuits....can't really blame them. I have this nasty recurring dream of Players/Owners/League suing the NFL into extinction.

Kick off moved back to the 25 (to give kickers and return team more air time to set up plays). If ball travels out the back of the end zone it MUST bounce once in the field or end zone before going out. Falling to do so will have the oppositions offense start at the 25 and not the 20.
Moving the kicking team back will give those kickers who can regularly kick the ball out the back of the end zone more air (the football) time.
This will give kick returners a better percentage to return the ball.
In turn this will give fans more football to watch and not another dud kick off return with the ball going out the back of the end zone or the returner taking a knee.
STs has more of a roll in the game of football.

Onside kick half the time. A failed attempt would put the other team around the 50. f**k it.
LOL @ this crap. They need to stop messing with things that aren't broken.

This is where the Seahawks got the idea to hold on to receivers down field all game. They know that there is no way the officials can call it all day because of commercials and time outs and sponsors and all of that B.S. There is no way they can stop the game or slow the game down by calling obvious penalties if they can't even have a challenge system that would make sure that official's are getting things right.
We should do what the Hawks do, and commit a penalty on every play. There is no way they could call us for everything and keep the game down to three hours all while satisfying their sponsors.

Also, good point about the increased chances of an onside kick. The league will have moved the spot a full 10 yards within a 4 year span, and giving up the ball at the 50 or the opponents own 45 yard line isn't a bad risk.
Although I bet we still wouldn't try to kick it out of the end zone for touchbacks on every kick
