So by that logic, no guy is ever a bad locker room influence, it's just that the team is run by a bunch of dick heads that get rid of him and censor everyone else's opinion to speak out? You can literally make that claim for every single situation, but the reality is that there's no good reason to release a 27 year old Pro-Bowler when you have plenty of cap space if there aren't some sort of background issues going on. Philly could have held on longer to extract a late round pick even for him and yet didn't even want to bother with that.
I don't buy the notion that the Eagles are just a bunch of potato idiots who release a guy just because. If you go on to the Eagles forums, they seem to have a far better grip on the story and are discussing plenty of past incidents and issues that apparently Reid was okay with or was happy to gloss over while Kelly isn't.
The more I read, the more it seems to be a head coach asserting his power and basically building/molding the team however he sees fit. Whether it works out well for both Philly and the Redskins remains to be seen.
