Would Steve Smith be a good fit for us? I think so.

We need some depth. If one of our starters go down, it's back to square one
just do it!!!! we need him

How can you release the face of your franchise in such a fashion ? The Panthers FO is a joke ! I would love to have Steve Smith in San Francisco. Just dont see it happen.
Dude plays hard every route, every run block, every play
I wouldn't mind it, however I don't think he'd see enough playing time to keep him happy. He'd be a #3 WR here or slot guy and the 49ers just don't use many 3 WR sets. He'd be another Brandon Jacobs after 3 weeks of riding the pine.

He also knows how to separate from the defender, which is really important against the Seattle corners. That long td he had against us in the playoffs was a perfect example of that. He can easily be our deep threat WR.
Is he reeaallyy over that knee injury. I mean, REALLY.
Steve Smith could be good here but he's still older than Boldin. BTW what the f**k are the Panthers even doing? They've lost half of their starting secondary and their 2 best receivers already. They must be perfectly satisfied with getting a 1st-round bye in the playoffs and then losing at home.
Depends on the price. I'd take him 1-2 years

Still can't believe the Panthers actually cut him
