Theyre talking about it on the radio here, crazy, Ravens had a play by play of what Rice did pretty much the same day. Ravens reportedly requested a 2 game suspension of Rice as well and git just that. Its reported that Steve Bisciotti and Goodell are "very good friends."
Apparently there is evidence that the Ravens and the NFL covered the second tape up.
John Harbaugh comes out smelling like a rose though, he wanted Rice cut as soon as the incident was reported but Ozzie Newsome and Steve Bischiotti opposed him.

If this report is true, I dont know how Goodell can continue to function as Commisioner.

when i hear about bisciotti and goodell being good pals, it just makes me think of the super bowl we just had with the ravens. i'm a play through the calls, or make your own breaks type of fan, but the cheese might just be too stinky on this one.

So glad to hear this about John Harbaugh! Someone in that organization has to be a responsible adult.

The Ravens are a corrupt organization, and it wouldn't surprise me if there was really a reason behind all the no calls in SB 47.

If Bisciotti owned the 49ers Aldon would be playing this week for sure.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is in Baltimore for the Texans-Ravens divisional-round matchup and he participated in a fan forum Sunday morning, taking questions from fans for about 25 minutes.
"This is a great time for me to be here, and some of you know I grew up as a [Baltimore] Colts fan and seeing the excitement here in town, I'm a fan too," Goodell said. "Being here is fun."

The guy deserves to be punished and held accountable for his actions, but he's being used as the whipping boy in the NFL's case to save face. It sounds like he made a mistake he greatly regrets, and instead of being subject to a harsh penalty, he's basically being ostracized completely and labeled as a liar in the process. Accounts are coming out saying that he's been truthful throughout the process, despite the picture the league has painted from their interaction with him. To me, just as big an issue as alcohol and violence, are the bigwigs trying to sweep these things under the rug. Oh, but when video evidence surfaces, now everyone cares and heads need to be lined up on the chopping block. Goodell needs to go, give his earnings back, and a new person needs to come in that isn't going to be buddy buddy with certain owners. The NFL stinks to s**t right now.
i dont advocate hitting ones wife, but if you're going to, do it in a dark room in your basement with a boxing glove on. ray rice made several mistakes and the biggest one wasnt hitting his wife, its where he hit his wife. if you're that dumb to KO your wife in a elevator of a casino/hotel then theres just no way i can feel sorry for someone. of course he is going to be the poster child of this, look where he did it. someone who does something worse but un-filmed can always say its blown out of context.

lol, no. Pretty sure his biggest mistake was the act of hitting his wife. It's disgusting. That said, he doesn't deserve to pay for other people's mistakes and shadiness, or have his life ruined so some 44 million/year douchebag and team execs can save face.
Yeah I agree with this.
He made a really big and terrible mistake, but it looks like it was a one-off for him, and it seems like he knows what he did.
AP on the other hand.....

Ray deserves a second chance but I just don't see his value right now unfortunately for him. Some team might figure he can give them a good year or two in 2015 though. He did an awful thing but this doesn't mean he can't get better from this! He told them what he did but they chose to cover it up
