lol yeah. Its not like we were 12-4 and they were 11-3 and we were screwed out of the division title by p***y litte Brees....

You would think we went 8-8 by some of the postings around here. Be proud of your team men. Don't bow down to the Seachickens!

lol there was just some newb in another thread saying we cant go past seattle until we win in seattle. i mean its not like their losing streak is sf is longer than ours up there or anything. we'll probably split and the div will come down to the other 14 games.

Yup. They haven't beaten us at home in a loooong time.

Kapernick has clearly overcome the false stigma that SEA is unbeatable at the Clunk. He was amazing last game but just couldn't seal the deal.

Oh well. He'll have plenty of shots at it

It's crazy to me, the naysayers base assumptions seem to be kap will never progress anymore, all the redshirt guys will never pan out, and we are gonna miss on every draft pick this year. IMO, we are in about as good a shape as you can be trying to win long term. We are still sitting good cap wise, have a terrific coach and have a bunch of draft picks including 6 in the first 3 rounds.

When they win multiple titles and block us many years you will realize they are the new dynasty (Seahawks). 90's Cowbows. 2000's Patriots. 2010's Seahawks. Unfortunately they are what we want to be and wish we were. They are just better, bigger, younger, faster and rougher and more physical. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they win more Championships.

Do you even watch football? We went through most of this season without our top WR, and several keys players missing week in and week out, and the Seahawks still needed a bogus call against us in the Saints game and four bogus calls in the NFCC game to get to the Super Bowl. They are the same team from 12 who got bounced by ATL, they benefited from flags and our injuries this season. Don't fall into the media hype bro.
kap will be an all pro next year and beyond
For all we know Seattle might not make the playoffs next year. I kid you not when Green Bay won the SB, people we saying the EXACT same thing about them. They are young, they are so awesome, they will be a threat for the next... blah blah blah... all GB is now is a door mat for the 49ers. Seattle will eventually suffer the same fate. Go 49ers.

Yup. They went 15-1 the following season and were bounced by Eli and were never the same. This is SEA's Super Bowl run and it wasn't even as impressive as people are making it out to be.

How so? By losing to them and them advancing to the Super Bowl?...... .......
It seems strange to me that people worry about the 49ers in general or Kaepernick in particular. Kaepernick beat Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, and he did it in the clutch when it was cold.

Kaepernick turned the ball over three times in the fourth quarter on the road against the Seahawks and still only lost by less than a touchdown.

He's a young guy who probably could win a couple of Super Bowls playing just the way he's playing right now. But when you consider that young guys develop with experience, it's hard to make a case that Kaepernick won't become more formidable in the years to come.

Meanwhile, Seattle is a young, talented team. In the 1980s, it was nice to be a young, talented team. But now, being a young talented team means you're about two years away from massive cap/contract problems. Those guys are going to want money, and there's only so much a franchise has to spread around.
I don't think this defense was really that good. Did they do to Peyton what someone hasn't done before? NO. I don't mean to discredit their feat but I wouldn't put them on par with the great Bears or Ravens defenses. And actually I think our offense did much better against them than the Broncos did and we did it in their house. So, I think that statement was a little bag yankin.

Feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

The s**t coming out about Seattle is akin to the stuff that came out about the Saints, Packers, and Giants (twice) after their Superbowl wins. Doesn't matter how good your front-office is, or how young you are, the salary cap always creeps up, pressure kills games, coaches leave, front-office members get dream jobs elsewhere, and once players win that 'one' ring, they don't give a f**k about winning another, but cashing in on financial security.

Dynasties don't exist anymore in this current culture of the NFL; if you're lucky, you win two Superbowls at least 4-5 years apart (like the Steelers, and Giants), and then your team dies in a span of two years.

LOL is this guy on crack? Those niner teams from the 80s would have dismantled this Seahawks team. Colin Kaepernick was nearly a foot away from beating this Seahawks team in Seattle. Joe Montana is about 1000 times better than Kap. The 1989 49er team would beat any team in the history of the game. We dominated every opponent and won 55-10 against Elway in the superbowl. Sherman would have none chance of covering Rice. You got the greatest QB, WR, and Safety of all time on that team. Seahawks offense might not even score on that 89 SF defense. It would be a major ass kicking.

no, they have shown they can dominate opposing qb's (manning, bree's, brady, rodgers etc), but

they dominated carson palmer and still lost the game.
The Greatest Defense of All Time? Sure, they are a great Defense, but this conversation would not be happening if Kap completes that last pass. If they can keep the D together for a few years without loss to injury or free agency and compete at the same level, and most importantly, win, then consider them.

My, my, how the passage of time turns extraordinary teams into super-human legends. Don't get me wrong. I loved those teams. But let's try to remember that 1986's #2 defense in the league, the NY Football Giants beat the same team you're talking about 49-3 in the divisional playoffs. There wasn't a lot of difference in the offense from 86 to 89. That team also got beaten in 87 by the wildcard Vikings team and that team also went to 6-5 in '88 before turning their season around and going on a run to win that year's Super Bowl. The '89 team was amazing and I believe still holds the record for the greatest point differential through the playoffs. But let's not pretend that even that team wouldn't have had a problem and a challenge with this year's Seahawk defense. Come on. That's a great defense and in that Super Bowl, they were playing at their best.

Ummm what? Lol. The 86 team is completely different from the 89 team. Just bc the rosters are simlar doesn't mean the teams are the same. By your logic the 2010 49ers are basically the 2011 49ers
